Celta Square (CEO Shin Min-kyung), an AI-based safety data company, announced on the 25th that it unveiled the technical architecture and practical application cases of its AI-based pharmacovigilance platform, "iVigilance Square," at the TECH FAIR session of the "2025 KoNECT-MOHW International Conference (KIC 2025)," held from September 22nd to 24th.
KIC 2025, co-hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Clinical Trials Support Foundation (KoNECT), is the largest international conference in the clinical trial field. This year's conference marked the first time a TECH FAIR session was held to showcase new technologies in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. Kim Sang-hyo, Head of Celta Square's PVaaS Division, presented a presentation titled "iVigilance Square Impact."
In this presentation, Celta Square introduced an automated architecture using AI technology, focusing on repetitive manual tasks and bottlenecks across the pharmacovigilance (PV) workflow. In particular, the presentation emphasized that AI can simultaneously enhance the productivity and consistency of pharmacovigilance operations by increasing the accuracy of simple, repetitive tasks, leveraging collaboration with experts to verify quality and signals, leveraging AI design principles based on human-in-the-loop principles, and implementing customized automation processes tailored to actual workflows.
iVigilance Square is an AI-based, end-to-end platform that automatically processes and analyzes the entire pharmacovigilance data flow. Designed to operate within a single system, from literature search and ICSR reporting to consistency review and RMP response, iVigilance Square goes beyond simple automation to perform quality control at the code level and utilizes an explainable AI (XAI) architecture to enhance regulatory compliance.
Director Kim Sang-hyo emphasized in his presentation, "AI should not replace part of pharmacovigilance operations, but rather serve as a tool to enhance the expertise of practitioners." He added, "Through iVigilance Square, Celta Square provides a practical automation system that bridges the gap between AI technology and field practice."
Meanwhile, at KIC 2025, in addition to the TECH FAIR session, Celta Square presented key sessions and exhibited at the event. Through these sessions, Celta Square shared key topics, including ▲Risk-centric, integrated risk management service, RMP RMP OneScope™ service, and ▲RWD-based PMS design, expanding its network with field experts.
Meanwhile, Celta Square recently established a data center and clinical strategy headquarters, establishing a specialized system capable of consistently managing data quality throughout the entire clinical trial cycle, from Phase 1 clinical trials to PMS. Starting with KIC 2025, Celta Square plans to actively expand collaborations with major domestic and international organizations and pharmaceutical companies.
